British Small Animal Veterinary Association The British Small Animal Veterinary Association (BSAVA) was established in 1957 and aims to foster scientific and educational standards of small animal medicine and surgery in practice, teaching and research. The Association has over 5,500 members, and detailed Information is provided on membership requirements, BSAVA educational activities and publications, BSAVA congress and news, and CPD events. Animal and human parasite images This resource is a collection of over 500 animal and human parasite images. This collection is supplemental visual material to Biology 625 (Animal Parasitology), taught by Dr Steve J. Upton, Divison of Biology, Kansas State University. Images are listed under the following major headings: monogenes, digenes, cestodes, nematodes, protozoa, arthropoda, and miscellaneous taxa.

Interactive drawings for veterinary anatomists This educational resource provides a collection of anatomical drawings for veterinary educators. This resource has been created by Donald R. Adams, Emeritus University Professor College of Veterinary Medicine, Iowa State University. Drawings are presented as thumbnails, each linked to a 1024 X 768 pixel-sized Flash movie. Each movie has been created from text book images that are now in the public domain and the source for each image is provided. Terminology, for the most part, is according to the fifth edition of Nomina Anatomica Veterinaria NAV, 2005. Images are listed under drawings and dissections, and can be searched by both species and body regions.

Veterinary parasitology images gallery : Arthropoda : Insecta and Acari This collection of veterinary parasitology images have been scanned from the teaching slide collection of Professor Marcelo de Campos Pereira, a Professor of Veterinary Entomology and Protozoology at the Department of Parasitology, Institute of Biomedical Sciences, University of São Paulo, Brazil. Aimed at students and veterinarians this image gallery contains veterinary parasitology images of Arthropoda: Insecta & Acari. Currently there are over 200 images in JPEG format, and these are accompanied by a brief description of the parasite. Each image can be downloaded and enlarged. This site is continually under development and is hosted by the Department of Parasitology, University of São Paulo.
Wellcome Images Formerly the Medical Photographic Library, Wellcome Images, which is part of the Wellcome Library, contains over 160,000 images, which are being continuously added to. The repository includes both historical images drawn from the Wellcome Library's collections and contemporary images in the clinical and biomedical sciences, selected from the UK's foremost teaching hospitals and research institutions. It is free to search and online registration allows access to advanced features as the light box into which images can be downloaded and ordered. The images can be downloaded freely for academic teaching, personal use or private study, under one of two Creative Commons licences, but cannot be reproduced for commercial use without Wellcome Images' prior knowledge and consent. There are also picture galleries, an FAQ section, price lists and details of the professional picture research service.

College of Animal Welfare Established in 1989 the College of Animal Welfare is a non-profit organisation that aims to further animal welfare through education and training. They specialise in veterinary nurse and animal care training in their five training centres in Huntingdon, Edinburgh, Potters Bar and Leeds. This includes providing training for animal welfare charities, courses for animal care professionals and consultancy services. The website provides information on the five training centres and on courses available. There is a current news sections, a calendar of events, job listings and links to other useful websites.
