Writing Advice Online
Would you like feedback on your written assignments without having to leave the house? Would you like this free and with just a few clicks on your keyboard?
- Submit to our written feedback service and receive written feedback from one our Academic Writing and Language lecturers within five working days.
- You can submit up to 2000 words.
- You can submit twice each semester.
- Your two submissions must be at least two weeks apart so you have time to progress your writing or apply feedback before seeking further feedback.
How does it work?
- Each week on Sunday evenings between 5pm to 7pm a submission link will open on MyLearning in the Academic Writing and Language Space
- Visit that space and look for “Writing Advice Online”
- Once the link is open you upload a word document (Maximum 2000 words)
- We will respond with written feedback on your critical thinking, writing and/or language use within five working days (so by the following Friday)
- You will receive a message when your feedback is ready
- Log back in to the link to receive your feedback

Academic Writing and Language Space
Learning Enhancement is offering two short courses this March:
Grammar and Vocabulary for Clarity of Expression (Tuesdays): 11th, 18th, 25th March from 2-4pm online (booking open!)
- Sessions 1-3: Language for Persuasive Arguments. In this session, we will write, review and have opportunity for feedback.
Developing your Academic Writing (Fridays): 14th, 21st and 28th March from 1-2pm online (booking open!)
- Session 1: Criticality, analysis, integrating sources
- Session 2: Reflective writing, integrating research into practice
- Session 3: Deadline management for longer writing projects, editing strategies
