The Illustrated Book Collection has a wide range of historical and contemporary illustrated books, for children and adults. The collection is arranged in an alphabetical sequence by illustrator and includes the work of these artists and many more.

The collection features several different editions of The Water Babies, and Alice in Wonderland and there are many examples of pop-up books and paper engineering. The books are listed on the library catalogue, they are for reference use only and are shelved in the Basement of the Sheppard Library, Hendon.
