Police Degree Programmes: Other University libraries

Document supply and Inter Library Loans

The inter-library loan service provides material required for course work, research or other Middlesex University business which is not held by the University’s campus libraries.

This includes journal papers from journals we do not have access to, book, conference papers and theses.

The service is available to all students, research staff, academic and administrative staff who are registered with the library.

There is a charge of £3 per request for undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes.

Use other university libraries: SCONUL Access and Eduroam

SCONUL access

  • This scheme enables physical access to other academic libraries and also borrowing rights for part-time, distance and placement students on undergraduate, postgraduate and research programmes.
  • SCONUL Access is open to all Middlesex University students and those studying joint/franchised programmes at partner institutions. It is not open to students studying at validated only partners.
  • A list of member libraries, their library catalogues and visiting procedures, are available from the website.
  • To apply, go to the SCONUL Access web site and complete the online form.  You will then receive an email confirming your membership.  You should take this with your Middlesex University ID card* to the libraries you wish to use.
  • If you are a registered distance learning student and did not receive an ID card at enrollment, please create a ticket to request one and attach a completed Student ID Card Application Form along with a passport style photo of yourself. The card will be posted to you, so please remember to include your preferred postal address in the ticket.
  • There is no charge for this scheme but you may be required to pay for an identity card at the library you visit.
