Museum of Domestic Design and Architecture (MoDA): Ephemera

Ephemera

Designers who worked for the Silver Studio acquired lots of material for visual reference.

Charles Hasler was also an avid collector of printed typography and ephemera.

The collections of the Museum of Domestic Design & Architecture (MoDA) include everything from cigarette cards, postcards and newspaper cuttings to posters by well-known artists.

Designers used these items to help them create designs which showed awareness of key fashion trends, while retaining mass market appeal.
