Licencing rules means we cannot offer other titles (with one exception, see SAGE below) to anyone who is not a current student or member of staff.
Freely accessible open access eresources anyone can use
When you have clicked the link to our Open Access eResources page, you can either browse all the titles or use the drop down menu to go to lists for specific subjects, as shown here:
Libraries and resources anyone can use
Anyone who lives or works or studies in a London borough can use the local public library including their online resources. You will probably have to join the library and obtain a membership card to do so. This page shows links to Libraries in London, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire.
British Library Reader Services
The British Library at St.Pancras (London), has 11 Reading Rooms, each specialising in a different subject area or type of material. Use this link to find out more information about facilities and services, opening times and how to apply for a reader ticket. The British Library is open to all.
Google Scholar provides a simple way to broadly search for scholarly literature. From one place, you can search across many disciplines and sources: articles, theses, books, abstracts and court opinions, from academic publishers, professional societies, online repositories, universities and other web sites. Google Scholar helps you find relevant work across the world of scholarly research.
Sheppard Library visitors
Sconul Access - for students at other unis
If you are an MDX student you can go and use most other uni libraries in the UK and Ireland. Anyone can use this for study and depending on your level of study and type of programme you may be able to borrow books. We are also happy to welcome students from other unis to the Sheppard Library at Hendon.
