UniHelp Desk LibGuide 2018/19

The UniHelp Desk

The UniHelp Desk is the face to face channel of UniHelp.  Situated on the ground floor of Sheppard Library we are a high volume face to face student hub

We are open Monday - Friday: 8:30am - 7pm (UK)

Last academic year we saw over 53,000 students.

We asked over 5,700 students to rate their experience with our service and 90% of those were very satisfied.

During the highest peaks in demand (the first weeks of teaching and during the assessment period) we saw nearly 1000 students in a single day.

We are a team of familiar friendly faces reassuring students and offering first level pastoral support.

We are the first point of contact for students to access student support services.

Advisors will be able to resolve enquiries or refer students to the appropriate specialist team.

We can make an appointment for students to see a specialist or direct them to appropriate workshops or drop-in sessions.

We also deliver a range of services at the UniHelp Desks on behalf of other functions of the University including

  • Maintenance of the When to refer guide
  • Biometric Residency Permit (BRP) card collection
  • Identity document checks
  • Visa Census checks
  • Tier 4 Sign ins
  • Bespoke student letters

  • Document Verification
