Welcome To Adventure Island!
On the 27th of March the Quad was transformed into Adventure Island for the Student Success Festival 2017!
Middlesex students visiting the event were able to take advantage of all the support, games, activities – and free prizes – on offer! Some of the many highlights included sports activities; reflecting creatively on the meaning of ‘success’ using fimo; library quizzes; a wishing tree and wall of advice; mindfulness and relaxation activities; problem solving games, and free healthy snacks and smoothies.
Students were able to engage with staff and support from various teams across the University, including MDXSU, Progression & Support, Registry, Kortext, Counselling & Mental Health Disability & Dyslexia, Sports and Recreation, the SLAs, the LET, Library teams, Erasmus, and Chartwells. Not only that, but Adventure Island itself was designed with help from students from Theatre Arts and Science and Technology. We also had help from the MDX props and costumes teams (and Teddy from LSS!) as well as plants supplied from Natural Sciences.
The Castle Zone was a hive of activity throughout the day!
