LinkedIn Learning: Certification

LinkedIn Learning

Please note: access to LinkedIn Learning stops on Tuesday 30th September 2025 or once a student receives their final results, or a member of staff leaves the university, whichever comes first.

Staff and students will no longer have access to LinkedIn Learning from Tuesday 30 September 2025.

In the meantime, please make the most of your free LinkedIn Learning account. Once students receive their final results or after 30 September 2025, whichever comes first, they will not be able to access LinkedIn Learning, including their learning history or certificates.

If you are currently completing Courses or Learning Paths on the LinkedIn Learning platform, here are a few simple actions to avoid getting caught out by this deadline:

  • Download and save certificates for all completed courses and Learning Paths
  • Think about the courses and Learning Paths you are working on right now and plan a schedule to make sure that you finish them in time
  • Take advantage of the remaining time to undertake Professional Certificates (Microsoft, Adobe and more)
  • Showcase your skills and achievements and keep a record of your learning history permanently on your LinkedIn profile page.

Certifications and Accreditation

Earn a professional certificate from top brands on LinkedIn Learning or prepare for off-platform certifications with preparation courses and assessment options available for over 175 different credentials.

Professional Certificates - showcase your skills with professional certificates on LinkedIn Learning, featuring courses and assessments developed with leading brands like Microsoft, Twilio, Zendesk, and more. Professional certificates make it easy to complete courses, take an assessment, and share your credentials without leaving LinkedIn.

Certification Preparation - LinkedIn Learning offers courses and learning paths taught by experts in their fields to prepare you to take technical and business certification exams from CompTIA, Microsoft, AWS, (ISC)2, Six Sigma, and other leading providers.

Certification Practice Exams  - these are intended to help you prepare for taking certification exams. Practice exams allow you to assess your knowledge, identify areas where you may need additional preparation, and measure your overall readiness to take each certification exam.

Academic Credits - learners now can receive official academic credit for completing learning content on LinkedIn Learning. These Learning Paths have been reviewed by select university partners globally who recognize the learning outcomes as official academic credit that can be applied against their academic programs (subject to successful learning assessment and upon program enrollment).

Certificates of Completion*

LinkedIn Learning Certificates of Completion are certifications you earn for the non-accredited courses you have completely watched on LinkedIn Learning. These certificates are a great way to let your social networks, current and potential employers see the value and diversity of your skills and that you are constantly learning and developing new skills.

Upon completion, a certificate is automatically generated that can be viewed online and shared on your LinkedIn profile page. To see yours, just go to your profile and select certificates*.

*please note that these non-accrediited certificates are not recognised or endorsed by third-party authorities and as such should not be relied upon as official certification for a particular skill. They only reflect that you have completed a course on LinkedIn Learning.

Please note: access to LinkedIn Learning stops once a student receives their final results or a member of staff no longer works for MDX.
