What is Wellbeing?

"Wellbeing, put simply, is about ‘how we are doing’ as individuals, communities and as a nation. Improving wellbeing is a key measure of success, something for us all to aim for, now and for the future."

What wellbeing initiatives are on offer at MDX? #WellbeingMDX

HealthMatters@MDX is a clever programme. It sends you advice and support that is most relevant to you when you’re most likely to need it. Messages can include timely information and advice on life in halls, on student support services, on how to stay safe at university, and how to cook a healthy meal! If there is just one thing you do for yourself this week, make sure you sign up to Health Matters @ MDX –our free wellbeing messaging service.

SilverCloud offers secure, immediate access to online CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) programmes, tailored to your specific needs. It’s flexible – access it anywhere, on your computer, tablet or mobile phone. It's easy to use - interactive tools and activities make your experience interesting and motivational.

Fika is a free app which helps you to work on your emotional fitness, just in the same way that going for a walk helps your physical fitness. You can do a 5 minute daily exercise here on the app which will help you to develop your confidence, self-esteem and resilience to help you to remain well during your time here at Middlesex and beyond.
