Welcome to the Library Subject Guide for Games Design. This guide will provide you with resources for your subject, including information about journals, key shelf numbers for finding books, web resources and new materials in the library.

Free eTextbook - Kortext

We provide one free personal eTextbook for each module you study. Each eTextbook provided by the scheme is based on a recommendation made by your lecturers, or the main book identified on your reading lists. No need to worry about buying the book or library loans: the books are free and yours to keep.

  2. Log in
  3. Download and use

In a few cases, where we are unable to provide an eTextbook we have made a print copy of the book available for you to keep.

Useful Resource - BoB (box of broadcasts)

BoB (box of broadcasts) is a service we subscribe to from the British Universities Film & Video Council that enables you to record and view TV & radio online from over 65 free-to-air channels in the UK.For full instructions see tab above on this guide Box of Broadcasts

Help with Academic writing

The Sheppard Library is also the place to come if you need help with completing your coursework.

Peter Thomas is the Academic Writing and Language Lecturer for Media students.

Based in the Learning Enhancement Team (LET) in the Sheppard Library, he can help you excel in your academic communication, whether this is in written assignments or oral presentations, as well as using information effectively and ethically in your work.
