Tickner, L. (2008) Hornsey 1968: the art school revolution. London: Frances Lincoln.
May 28 2018 is the 50th anniversary of the student sit-in at Hornsey College of Art's Crouch End building. CLICK HERE for more information about the occupation and its repercussions on art and design education. The Hornsey College of Art was one of the institutions which joined to create Middlesex Polytechnic in 1973 and eventually became Middlesex University. The HCA archive is held in the Materials Room in the Basement of the Sheppard Library at Middlesex University.
The Materials Room holds many fascinating special collections related to art and design. The room is usually open from 11am to 4pm Monday to Friday during term-time, although there may be teaching in the room, especially in the autumn term. A notice on the door will show if teaching sessions are scheduled, so you can plan your visit.
