Librarians as teachers

Your subject liaison librarian not only buys library resources, they also teach your students how to use them.  After all, spending £2,000,000 a year on books and journals is a waste of money if people don't use them.  Key things we teach are:

  • How to find resources
  • Why Google won't find them and what to do instead
  • How to evaluate what you find so you use what's best for you
  • How to cite and reference materials used to ensure you don't plagiarise

You will find powerpoint slides and video clips from many of our workshops on the relevant subject guide for the topic.

To arrange for us to teach your students, please contact your subject liaison librarian.
