A LibGuide for

Is it relevant to me?

There are a whole range of courses, covering a wide range of topics and practical skills, that are relevant for staff and students across the University.

The Library of content is organised by broad subjects (3D + Animation, Business, Video etc.) and each subject is divided into Topics, Software and Learning Paths to help you navigate through and find what you need.

Whether you are looking to enhance your presentation skills, learn audio mixing, brush up on Photoshop, or find out how to maximise Google analytics, there could be a course to suit your needs.

Take some time to explore the Library and see what there is for you.

What are Learning Paths?

Learning Paths are packages of courses, with video and learning materials, which take you through the stages necessary to learn something new.

These Learning Paths are great collections of content, which can range from the quite big paths to some smaller, shorter paths, such as:

  • Become a Digital Illustrator is a 32 hour package of 9 courses
  • Become an iOS 10 App Developer has 9 courses in the path, totaling 16 hours
  • Improve Your Organizational Skills contains 4 courses, with 7 hours of learning time.

These are worth taking a look at if you are looking at developing your skills, knowledge and expertise in a particular area.

Why use Playlists?

Playlists are a way of creating your own packages of courses.

If you want to develop your photography skills, for example, you could create your own Photography playlist.  You can then search, find and save to it, a range of courses across specific topics and skills that you want to learn.  You have then put together your own, bespoke Learning Path of content particular for your own needs.

Below is a link to an example playlist, on the topic of Employability.
