Middlesex University belongs to the SCONUL Access scheme which allows university library users to borrow or use books and journals at other libraries which belong to the scheme. Many university libraries in the UK are members of Sconul Access. Usually full-time undergraduate students are allowed reference access, while part-time and postgraduate students may additionally be allowed some restricted borrowing.

The following major library catalogues are available freely online and may well aid your research.
It is possible to visit the British Library for research purposes. Full details about using the British Library Reading Rooms at St Pancras, including registering for a reader's pass, are available online. Students will be expected to have first explored the British Library Catalogue to identify the resources they need to consult. Most items held by the British Library are not out on the open shelves and must be requested for delivery, with a wait of around an hour, so a visit needs to be planned carefully.
