The Complete Business Reference Advisor (COBRA) contains practical information for starting up a small business in the UK. It is especially useful for niche sectors and market information in specific areas of the UK.

Music and Art Industry Statistics

The library subscribes to two resources containing information, reports and  relating to the music industry:

1. All about the music: Annual Review (formerly BPI Music market report) - An authoritative compilation of key information about the UK recorded music market.

2. IFPI Global music report - This report is split into two parts:

  • State of the Industry - An overview of developments in the recorded music sector in 2016, a look at the rise in streaming and the industry’s priorities.
  • Data and analysis - In-depth data for the recorded music market at national, regional and global level, including detailed national data for almost 50 markets. This section replaces the ‘Recording Industry in Numbers’ annual publication.

Both 'All about the music' and the 'Global music report' are kept on the library shelves with the books and are located at shelfmark  338.4778 In addition, the Global Music report is available online as a PDF. Click on the link below to access the 2018 Global Music Report.
